We at Howard School of Dance strive to create an atmosphere that is both professional and yet child friendly. Instructors are hired based upon their credentials, but also because their attitude towards teaching is kind and encouraging. We want each child to feel important and we want each student to find success in every attempt. We believe we can foster respect and the use of manners in a family environment while sharing our passion for dance with the students
Recital (or recreational) students find a classroom environment that is creative and fun. Their teachers give them as much technical information as their skill level permits. The result is classes that are energetic as well as thoughtful.
Our career minded students find structure and discipline within the classroom environment that is blended with creative teaching techniques and passionate teachers. These students are well schooled in the disciplines of classical ballet and its customs.
We believe we can offer the best of two worlds. You'll find fun and energy in our "neighborhood dance studio" as well as professionalism and dedication in our "ballet school".
